Well I got home from work and my computer won’t boot. No output to the screen or response to F1, boot disk, etc. So… until I figure it out, or get a new one my ability to blog and comment on yours will be reduced. I know this has come as a huge blow to all of you, but you’ll just have to bear with me while I sort things out.
Perhaps it’s a message from the Almighty that I should not be blogging or using the internets at all…
[update] Cleaning out the dust fixed it.

Well, if you are looking for long distance computer help, my first question has to be: is it plugged into the power? If so, when you switch on does the fan run? Does the disk activity light come on? Does the CD drive open when you press its little button? If none of these I would first suspect the power supply, which is cheap to fix. If all these things do happen, I would suspect the monitor or the cable to it. All this assumes a desktop computer, things are a bit different with a laptop.

Well I just opened the case, sprayed it with some air and vacuumed out the dust. Reboot and everything back to normal.
Moral: Keep your PC clean.
